Thanks to all who visted us at the
Canadian National Comic Book Expo - Friday through Sunday, August 23-25th, 2002

A MoCCA Brief from the Canadian National Comic Book Expo, August 23-25th, 2002.

I wanted to give you a MoCCA brief of our very successful trip to the Canadian National Comic Book Expo. We started out by meeting up with Bryan Spitz, our Toronto volunteer that led us to the convention. At the convention we were joined in the MoCCA booth by NYC artist Fly, Rochester volunteer Maurice Raichelson, NYC volunteer Lisa Harris and Ottawa artist Chris Brimacombe.

We met with many Canadians and Americans who expressed their appreciation for the efforts of MoCCA to promote all genres of comic and cartoon art.

All through the trip, people were excited by our efforts to reach out to a broad base and expand the audience of the art. During our travels we met new corporate sponsors and friends.

On behalf of the Museum Of Comic and Cartoon Art I want to thank the many generous volunteers, fans, artists, and celebrities whom donated time, money, art and autographed items for our fundraising efforts. A special thank you to all our Canadian friends who made that special effort to help the museum.

The Museum Of Comic and Cartoon Art would like to thank the following for their contributions to the raffle: Andrews McMeel Publishing, Mike Becker, Broadway Books, Comic Images, Drawn and Quarterly, Dynamic Forces, Fly, The Funny Times, Bunny Hoest, Klaus Janson, Jim Keefe, Richard Maurizio, Patrick McDonnell, NBM Publishing, Ted Rall, Henrik Rehr, Second 2 Some Studios, Alex Simmons, Ty Templeton.

See you there next year!
